A brutal and unexpected departure from Good Doctor in season 5

Good doctor

An actor recently arrived at the casting will already leave the hospital of St. Bonaventure.

St. Bonaventure will lose one of its surgeons again! In four seasons and a few, Good doctor has already seen its share of reshuffles within the cast. And a new beginning will arrive very soon, at the beginning of season 5, currently underway on the American channel ABC. Attention spoilers!

It is the actor Osvaldo Benavides who leaves the medical series, according to TVLine, just a few months after being promoted to regular within the distribution. We do not know the reasons behind this sudden and obviously unforeseen departure. Sony Pictures Television is not commenting at this time and neither are the Benavides team.

The 42-year-old Mexican actor made his debut in Good doctor in the two-part finale of Season 4, when Shaun and the surgical team traveled to Guatemala on a mission to help patients at a rural hospital. Among the local surgeons was Dr. Mateo Rendón Osma, who forged an immediate bond (and romance in stride) with St. Bonaventure’s chief of surgery, Dr. Audrey Lim (played by Christina Chang).

In the first episode of season 5, which aired on September 27 in the USA, Dr. Osma arrived in San Jose to continue his relationship with Lim, who employed him as a surgeon in the hospital, despite a troubled past. ..

It is not yet clear how he will be wiped out of the history of Good doctor, nor in which episode. In France, the public will discover Mateo this week. The last two episodes of season 4 of Good doctor will be broadcast this Wednesday evening on TF1.
