We discover the character of Paul Rudd freeing a demon wolf, endangering the neighboring city.

Ghostbusters: The Legacy, the next film in the Ghostbusters franchise, knows how to prepare for its upcoming arrival in theaters. Only a few days after the release of its final trailer, it is now with an unpublished extract that Sony hopes to make fans wait.

In this excerpt, we follow Mr. Grooberson (Paul Rudd), using a Ghostbusters Trap and inadvertently freeing a Demon Wolf, not very happy to have been a prisoner for so long. Faced with this, the two children who accompany him are not delighted. Finally, with one detail: “You understand what that means, don’t you? Your grandfather was a ghost hunter”. The legend is reborn.

Ghostbusters – Legacy: a new generation faces ghosts in a nostalgic first trailer

This suite at Ghostbusters of 1984 features a new (young) generation of supernatural entity hunters. Hoping to start a new life, a single mother and her two children arrive in a small town to move into a dilapidated Oklahoma farmhouse that they inherited from their grandfather. However, they soon discover their connection to the early Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

The cast includes Carrie Coon as Callie, Mckenna Grace as Phoebe, Finn Wolfhard as Trevor, and Paul Rudd as Mr. Grooberson. And in addition to this celebrity-filled cast, the stars of the first hour will be making their comeback: Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts will reprise their iconic roles as Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Winston Zeddemore, Dana Barrett and Janine Melnitz, respectively.

Ghostbusters: The Legacy, rdirected by Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan, in theaters on December 1st.
