After Bright, Will Smith signs with Netflix for a new blockbuster

David Leitch (Deadpool 2) will shoot Fast & Loose when he completes Bullet Train, with Brad Pitt.

Deadline reveals that Will smith has just resigned with Netflix, four years after the success of Bright, David Ayer’s SF buddy movie (Suicide Squad). This time the star of Men In Black commits to Fast & Loose, an action film by David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2, who is wrapping up Bullet train with Brad Pitt. The plot, written by Jon and Erich Hoeber (RED, The Meg) will follow Will Smith as a man who wakes up in Tijuana, Mexico, and no longer remembers his identity: was he a crime lord or an undercover CIA agent? Little by little, he will put the pieces of the puzzle together …

David Leitch will co-produce the project with Kelly McCormick, via their company 87North, and Will Smith as well, with his company Westbrook Film, which notably supports his next film. King richard, where he will play the father of tennis champions Serena and Venus Williams, but also Redd Zone, whose main role will be played by his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
