The Rocher Television Festival reopens its doors and 9 series will compete for the main prize.
Who will succeed Breaking Bad, Borgen, Escape at Dannemora or It’s a Sin, big winner of the 2021 edition? The 2022 Monte-Carlo Television Festival opens its doors this weekend and with it the Golden Nymphs competition.
They will be divided into three categories, the main one being that of fiction. The Jury will be chaired by American actor and producer Neal McDonough and will be made up of Richard Fee, Adriana Karembeu, Joséphine Jobert, Anna Marsh, Darko Peric and Danna Stern. 6 Golden Nymphs will be awarded (best film, best series, best creation, best actress, best actor and Special Jury Prize), while 3 Golden Nymphs will be awarded in the Documentary & News categories.
Nine series from 8 countries around the world are in the running in the fiction section:
A private matter (Spain); Ida’s Novel (Hungary); Made in Oslo (Norway); Martha Lieberman (Germany) ; The Offer (US); The Terminal List (US); The Tourist (UK) ; Trom (Faroe Islands) and vincenzo malinconico (Italy).
The winners will be announced at the Ceremony of the Golden Nymphs, this Tuesday, June 21, in the presence of the Honorary President of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. See the Official Selection.
In addition, this year, a new prize was created on the Rock. the Golden Nymph of the best international hope will be awarded for the first time and it is Théo Christine, alias JoeyStarr in the Supremes directed by Audrey Estrougo, who was cast.
The trophy rewards “thehe exceptional talent of an emerging and promising actress or actor, distinguished by the international recognition of his work.” At just 25 years old, Théo Christine has already played many major roles in film and television, notably in the hit Canal+ series, War of The Worlds or in the French version of SCAM.
