This Rogue One prequel takes us back to the origins of the rebellion against the Empire.
While the series Obi-Wan Kenobi starts today on Disney Plus, the Star Wars Celebration was held yesterday. The perfect opportunity to draw the first images ofAndorthe next show of the franchise, which also goes back in time by telling us about the events that preceded RogueOne.
RogueOne tells us the tragic fate of the rebels who recovered the plans of the Death Star, including Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and Cassian Andor. The latter, still played by Diego Luna, is therefore the hero of this new series, which will also see the return of Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma and Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera. Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough or Kyle Soller complete the cast.
The first trailer forAndor (precisely a “teaser trailer”) gives us few details on the plot, but sells us very neat visuals and takes up the usual codes of the Star Wars universe, with stormstroopers on patrol, high-ranking Empire in a meeting, a planet populated by inhabitants in danger, rebels arrested en masse, a ship entering hyperspace and a voice of who informs us that the resistance is on the march.
Andor will launch on August 31 on Disney Plus.
