After a long postponement due to the Covid-19 epidemic, Kaamelott – Premier shutter will be released in just one month, July 21. Only a teaser had been offered so far, but its promotion has been accelerating for a few days: after a series of posters dedicated to the main characters of the film, and posted by Alexandre astier in person, here is an excerpt, unveiled in the 19h45 of M6 last night. A video that marks the return of Arthur, a great absentee from the first cut unveiled last January.

This one-minute sequence is a meal scene where the Duke of Aquitaine, played by Alain Chabat, is visibly very happy to receive the ex-king of Brittany. His wife, still embodied by Geraldine Nakache, less. She retorts curtly that everyone believed him dead, then her husband trains to remind Arthur of his sympathy by over-explaining his expressions. Guillaume Gallienne, who plays the new character Alzagar, attends the exchange, without participating. Here is the video:

This type of scene is a tradition within the series of Alexandre Astier. A good way to announce that the film will be a continuation of the television episodes. Its creator, however, assured First that the feature film had been designed for the cinema and would offer more trips and ambitions: “This film is for people who like thick stuff: prequels, series, etc. (…) The ambition is to make a saga that mixes comedy, dark fantasy and adventure.”
