Babysitter: Monia Chokri’s new comedy unveils its trailer

The story of a young woman who arrives in a drifting home.

Revealed in the cinema in Imaginary lovers and Laurence Anyways by Xavier Dolan Monia Chokri successfully passed behind the camera with My brother’s wife, which was presented at Cannes in 2019 with the Jury’s Favorite Prize in the Un certain regard section. Three years later, the Quebec director unveils her second feature, Baby sittera comedy with a tasty pitch:

Following a sexist joke that has gone viral, Cédric, a young dad, is suspended by his employer.

To redeem himself, he goes with the help of his brother Jean-Michel, to question the foundations of his misogyny through the writing of a book. For her part, his wife Nadine, in the grip of depression, decides to shorten her maternity leave.

The arrival in their lives of a babysitter with a mischievous and bewitching charm will turn their lives upside down.

Written by Catherine Léger based on her play Baby sitter, the film stars Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Monia Chokri, Patrick Hivon and Steve Laplante. It will be released in France on April 27. Trailer :
