“Very sad news” announces showrunner Caroline Dries.
It’s spring cleaning in the Arrowverse. After putting the Legends of Tomorrow retired, their comrade batman suffered the same fate! The DC series was canceled after three chaotic short seasons, marked by the departure of actress Rose Leslie at the end of season 1 and replaced since by Javicia Leslie.
Showrunner Caroline Dries confirms on Twitter, writing: “I just heard the sad news: batman won’t see season 4… I’m disappointed, but filled with gratitude. What an honor it was to do those 51 episodes.”
