Benedict Cumberbatch only paints cats in new Prime Video film [bande-annonce]

Amazon Prime Video unveils the trailer for The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, adapted from the life of the famous British painter known for his drawings of cats. In the guise of Benedict Cumberbatch, who will soon appear in Jane Campion’s next film, Louis Wain comes back to life and appears alongside his wife, played by Claire Foy, who is in the cast of My Son by Christian Carion.

The film is directed by Will Sharpe and has already made its way to the Telluride and Toronto festivals. Available from November 5 on the Prime Video platform, it will also be released in theaters in the United States on October 22.

Viewers will then be able to discover the extraordinary true story of eccentric British artist Louis Wain, whose playful, sometimes even psychedelic images have helped to forever transform the public’s perception of cats.
