Brad Pitt is preparing an F1 film with Lewis Hamilton and Joseph Kosinski

Jerry Bruckheimer will be producing this film from the director of Top Gun: Maverick. But for which studio?

The race for the highest bidding studio is on! Deadline reveals that Brad pitt associates with Joseph Kosinski (Oblivion, Top Gun: Maverick) to shoot a film on Formula 1. In writing, we will find Ehren Kruger, the screenwriter of the next blockbuster with Tom Cruise, precisely, but also recent versions of Ghost in the shell and of Dumbo), and in production, Jerry Bruckheimer (behind Top Gun, again, as well as Bad Boys, Pirates of the Caribbean, CSI…). The article also specifies that F1 champion Lewis Hamilton is part of the project, without specifying to what extent.

Damien Chazelle finished filming Babylon with Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Flea, Tobey Maguire …

We will probably know more when a studio has bought the rights to the project, Paramount (which produced Top Gun: Maverick) being currently in full “war” of producers vis-a-vis MGM, Sony, Universal and Disney on the big studios side, as well as Netflix, Apple and Amazon on the streaming platform side.

Here is the trailer for Maverick, expected on May 22, 2022 at the cinema:
