The star will be there on May 18, to attend the screening of the blockbuster Joseph Kosinsky for Paramount, then to participate in a masterclass led by the French journalist Didier Allouche.
This event is organized exactly 30 years after the first visit of Tom Cruise on the Croisette, to defend distant horizons, by Ron Howard. This film had been screened on May 18, 1992, at the end of the festivities, and the same evening, Tom Cruise presented the Palme d’or to Billie August for Best Intentions.

Top Gun Maverick: Tom Cruise imposed Val Kilmer in the sequel
The rest of the selection will be unveiled on April 14 by the organizers of the 75th Cannes Film Festival, which will take place from May 17 to 28, 2022. However, we already know that three american movies will be revealed: Top Gun 2therefore, but also Elvisby Baz Luhrmann, and Three Thousand Years of Longing, by George Miller.
