This sequel is expected in theaters in less than two months, on May 4, 2022.
Yesterday evening, Benedict Cumberbatch was invited to the BAFTAs, the British Caesars. If he didn’t receive the best actor award for The Power of the Dog (Will Smith walked away with the trophy for his role in The Williams Method), the actor still attended at the coronation of Jane Campion’s western, elected best film by the voters. On the red carpet of the ceremony, the actor made a surprising revelation: he has not yet finished the reshoots of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Sam Raimi’s blockbuster due out in less than two months at the cinema. Precisely on May 4, 2022 in France. “I’m having a great time on the reshoots of Doctor Strange“says Cumberbatch in the video below.

Doctor Strange 2: what you need to see to understand the Multiverse of Madness
Announced in the fall, substantial reshoots have been planned by Marvel until the end of 2021. The interpreter of Doctor Strange tried to reassure fans by recalling that additional shots were regularly organized for these big productions of the MCU, updates being necessary to stick to the stories of the other blockbusters of the studio, since the films are all related to each other. As it happensDoctor Strange 2 was originally supposed to come out before Spider-Man: No Way Home, then the two films were reversed in Disney’s release schedule, which is part of why these reshoots are so important. It is also rumored that with its subject of “multiverse”, the film will be filled with cameos, and that a good part of these are shot at the last minute. Officially completed since January, the reshoots are obviously not quite finished…
