Downton Abbey 2: the release of the film postponed for two months

We will not finally find the Crawleys until next May.

We will have to wait a little longer than expected to find the Crawleys. Downton Abbey: A New Era, which was previously due to be released in American theaters on March 18 (and March 16 in France), has now been postponed to May 20 across the Atlantic (and therefore May 18 in France). The film will launch a little earlier in the UK, on April 29.

In the cast of Downton Abbey 2, we will find Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Joanne Froggatt, Harry Hadden-Paton, Robert James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, Tuppence Middleton, Lesley Nicol, Maggie Smith, Imelda Staunton and Penelope Wilton. They are joined by newcomers Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye and Dominic West.

Downton Abbey: A New Era will send the Crawleys to the South of France, where the Countess (Smith) has come into possession of a villa – apparently thanks to a mysterious man from her past. Series creator Julian Fellowes wrote the film, which is directed by Simon Curtis (My Week With Marilyn).
