Encanto still at the head of a very small US box office

Without major novelty this week, it is the last Disney that keeps one step ahead of Ghostbusters: the legacy.

In the wake of its successful Thanksgiving release, Encanto retained the lead at the US box office this weekend, but not really a hit.

With $ 12.7 million in additional revenue, the latest Disney is down 53% over one week, for a cumulative total of just $ 57.9 million. According to analysts, Encanto will be a very small success for the studio with big ears, in the vein of the recipes of The princess and the frog, which totaled $ 100 million at the US box office in 2009 ($ 267 million worldwide).

Same fall and same effects for Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which takes $ 10.35 million more this weekend, to pass the $ 100 million mark in America. On the podium, House of Gucci is maintained. Ridley Scott’s film has raised an additional $ 6.77 million and already exceeds $ 33 million in revenues across the Atlantic, already well beyond the global revenues of the Last Duel...

We will finally note in this weekend without much novelty the small score of Resident Evil: Raccoon City, which struggled to reach $ 13.1 million at the US box office in week two.
