The SF comedy starring Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan (The Goonies), James Hong and Jamie Lee Curtis created a stir in the USA.
Evelyn Wang is exhausted: she no longer understands her family, her job and is crumbling under taxes… Suddenly, she finds herself immersed in the multiverse, parallel worlds where she explores all the lives she could have led. Faced with dark forces, she alone can save the world but also preserve the most precious thing: her family.
Here is the pitch ofEverything Everywhere All at Oncethe new crazy comedy from “Daniels” Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, who have already marked the public with a funny original film: Swiss Army Man (2016 with Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano). This new project is led by Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan (Data in The Goonies), James Hong and Jamie Lee Curtis, and it’s produced by the Russo Brothers (who know a thing or two about “multiverse” with the saga Avengers!). Distributed by A24 in the United States, it has known a great critical and public success since its March 25 release, raking in $42 million domestically on a less than $1 million budget.
Good news, it has just found a French distributor, Originals Factory, which announces its release during the summer of 2022, without further details. Rather specialized in VOD, will Originals Factory release Everything Everywhere All at Once in theaters, as it will soon do with the documentary elizabeth, by Roger Michell? We should know more soon.
Here is its trailer:
