French box office of June 29: Cruella scares Conjuring 3

Only three new products made it into the top 10 this week: Cruella, Operation Portugal and An ordinary spy. The first, a 101 Dalmatians prequel to the great cartoon villain Cruella d’Enfer, who was portrayed live by Glenn Close in the 1990s and is now played by Emma Stone, drew 353,086 curious in 582 rooms, which allows it to take first place in the ranking, dislodging in the process Conjuring 3, who had been enthroned for 15 days. In the third week of operation, it is now in second place, thanks to 280,750 additional tickets sold in 487 cinemas, for a total of 1.3 million spectators. The comedy with D’Jal is fourth, with 136,973 curious people moved in front of 350 screens, and the thriller carried by Benedict Cumberbatch is seventh with 102,937 tickets sold for 323 copies.

Last week’s new products total 372,000 (Without a sound 2), 255,000 (A Tour to My Daughter and An angry man) and 220,000 tickets (The 2 Alfred). Among them, the most distributed is the comedy with Josiane Balasko, offered in 730 theaters, while that of Bruno Podalydès is visible in only 417 cinemas. Finally, if they are no longer above the symbolic bar of 100,000 admissions collected in one week, the Oscar-winning work of Chloé Zhao, Nomandland, and the animated film The Bouchetrous, complete the top 10 with more than 300,000 spectators each, welcomed in three and five weeks respectively.
