In the wake of the excellent Netflix series, Midnight Sermons, the director launched the idea of a very exciting project.
It’s not tomorrow the day before that we will see the ghosts of the Force haunting the Jedi in a creepy mansion on Tatooine. But the idea is exciting and it just got thrown into the air by Mike Flanagan in person. The critically acclaimed Netflix horror specialist with The Haunting of Hill House, and more recently with Midnight Sermons, confided this weekend that an earthquake felt upon waking up sparked in him the idea of making a horror film based on the universe of Star wars ! a Star wars horror version with Mike Flanagan with the wand, that’s what makes you shiver, even if it is not certain that Lucasfilms wants to play like this with his license …
Got woken up by the earthquake this morning, sat there for a few minutes just thinking “I’d really love to make a horror movie in the STAR WARS universe …”

The message, in any case, echoed with Mitch Dyer, author for video games. Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: Squadrons. He also seems to think that would be a good idea. After all, Mike Flanagan had already won an impossible bet by making an honorable adaptation of Doctor Sleep, Following Shining. So why not ? This deserves at least reflection at Disney …
I’ve wanted one of those for a decade. Please!
