James Wan reveals Aquaman 2 title: any plot clue?

The sequel to the DC movie, titled The Lost Kingdom, will be filming soon.

While the 3rd part of Conjuring, of which he is the producer, a hit in the cinema, James Wan can concentrate on the sequel toAquaman. An ultra important project for Warner Bros. and the DC Cinematic Universe. Indeed, with more than a billion dollars of revenue, the first film released in 2018 is quite simply the biggest success of the DCEU at the box office. The pressure is therefore on the shoulders of the director.

A thick mystery still surrounds Aquaman 2, about which little is known except that Jason Momoa will of course be back in the title role, as will Amber Heard as Mera and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta. Patrick Wilson has also confirmed on social media that he will be present, and we should also see Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin and Willem Dafoe as Vulko. Only one new one has been announced for the moment: Pilou Asbæek (Game Of Thrones). Other than that? Not much.

However, James Wan has finally revealed on his Instagram account the title of this sequel, which is therefore The Lost Kingdom. Or “Le Royaume Perdu” in French. Three little words that could say a lot about the plot ofAquaman 2. Indeed, we know that Atlantis was divided into seven kingdoms, six of which are known: Atlantis, Xebel (where Mera is from), Brine, the Pit, the Fishermen and the Deserters. More a “Lost Kingdom” whose quest could be at the heart of the film.

Currently in pre-production, Aquaman 2 must return to filming in July, for a release scheduled for December 14, 2022 in France.
