Jeff Bridges in John Wick mode in The Old Man trailer

The first two episodes of this FX series will be directed by Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home).

Last September, Jeff Bridges shared the first pictures of The Old Man, an FX series announced in 2019, which will be broadcast in June on the channel, but also on Hulu, and in which he plays a former CIA agent settling scores with long-time enemies. This short teaser was posted at the end of a direct message from the actor to his fans, in which he gave an update on his health, announcing that his cancer diagnosed a few months earlier was in remission and that he had also recovered from COVID. The shots were logically delayed, but they were able to be completed last February, once the star was in good enough shape to return to the film sets.

The streaming platform now unveils the long trailer for The Old Man, which promises action scenes worthy of John Wick. This series is inspired by a novel by Thomas Perry, published in 2017. It is adapted by Jon Steinberg and Robert Levine, who previously collaborated on the pirate series Black Sails. Jon Watts, who has had great success lately thanks to Spider-Man: No Way Home, is co-producer of the project, as well as director of the first two episodes. In addition to Bridges, it is worn by John Lightgow, Alia Shawkat, EJ Bonilla, Gbenga Akinnagbe and Amy Benneman. Here is the video:
