Producer Shawn Levy is behind this horror film which is reminiscent of Scream in its early days …
Shawn Levy (Stranger Things) teamed up with James Wan’s company (The Conjuring) to produce this new Netflix movie, Killer Game, who fully plays the Hawkins card … but not for children! This time it’s an outright horror movie. A “slasher” at the Scream where high school kids get slammed, as shown in the trailer below:
Directed by Patrick Brice, the film will bring together Sydney Park, Théodore Pellerin, Asjha Cooper, Dale Whibley, Jesse LaTourette, Diego Josef, Burkely Duffield, Sarah Dugdale, William MacDonald, Andrew Dunbar, and Markian Tarasiuk.
Adapted from the eponymous novel by Stephanie Perkins, Killer Game will follow “Makani Young left Hawaii to settle with his grandmother in a small quiet town in Nebraska. But as graduation day approaches for the high school student, her classmates are harassed by a killer determined to reveal their most terrible secrets to the entire city. The murderer terrorizes his victims by wearing masks of their own faces, larger than life. Makani, who is also hiding a heavy secret, and her friends must find out the identity of the killer before they themselves become victims. “
Released on Netflix on October 6th.
