It will be season 21, eleven years after the cancellation of the series …
Back to the past for the American channel NBC which stands out Law & Order cupboard. Series New York, Judicial Police will pick up where it left off over ten years ago. To everyone’s surprise, a season 21 has just been ordered from the one that was the basis of the entire franchise and in particular of the spin-offs. Criminal Section (10 seasons) and Special Unit (20 seasons) even more popular than the original!
It is not yet clear which cast members will return for this revival, but discussions are already underway with a handful of franchise alumni. When New York, Judicial Police was abruptly canceled by NBC in May 2010 at the end of its 20th season, the on-screen team was led by Jeremy Sisto, Anthony Anderson, S. Epatha Merkerson, Linus Roache, Alana De La Garza and Sam Waterston.
In 2015, NBC had already almost ordered a limited series Law & Order of 10 episodes, but the project ultimately collapsed. This time, the come back is validated!
“Law & Order is quite simply one of the most iconic series in television history, and the idea of continuing its legacy and partnering with Dick Wolf for a whole new season is exhilarating. “said Susan Rovner, president of Entertainment Content at NBCUniversal Television. “This is great news for NBC as well as TV fans around the world.”
