Lord and Miller promise ambitious aesthetic for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Following new generation already makes you salivate. Three years later, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse promises a crazy new dive into the multiverse imagined by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. This time, it’s Miles Morales who will weave his web from world to world.

And in a recent interview, the duo explains to Collider how the different dimensions Miles traverses will all have their own distinct animation styles:

It’s a very ambitious sequel, because we didn’t want to just do the same thing over again. So the idea that we were going to different dimensions really opened up an artistic opportunity for each world to have its own visual style and to be able to push the people at the ImageWorks studio to develop, in each dimension, this sense that it was drawn , created, by the hand of another artist… Seeing the development of this kind of stuff is breathtaking, and really, that’s why we keep going with it…

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part 1 and 2 will be released in October 2022 and during 2023 in cinemas.
