Love is better than life: a first trailer for Claude Lelouch’s 50th film

The filmmaker Claude Lelouch is preparing to add a new stone to the building of his career: he announces the release of his fiftieth film! Entitled Love is better than life, it focuses on three themes: love, friendship and money, described as “the three main concerns of humanity” in the synopsis. “To talk about it as simply as possible, Gérard, Ary and Philippe got to know each other 20 years ago, when they were released from prison, and immediately asked themselves the real question: What if honesty was the best trick Today, they are inseparable and scrupulously virtuous… But Gérard learns that he suffers from an incurable disease. With Gérard Darmon and Sandrine Bonnaire in the main roles, Love is better than life does not present itself as a simple love movie in its first trailer, finally unveiled. We find there characters called Jesus or Hell, in the guise of Beatrice Dalle notably. Scenes of life are also intertwined: demonstrations, a carnival. A whole complexity that should surround this story, the fiftieth filmed by Claude Lelouch.

In the casting, we therefore find Darmon and Bonnaire in the leading roles, as well as Ary Abittan, Kev Adams, Philippe Lellouche, Elsa Zylberstein and Béatrice Dalle. Clémentine Célarié, Olivier Rabourdin, Xavier Inbona, Ludivine de Chastenet and Candice Patou complete the cast, as well as Robert Hossein in his last appearance on the screen.
