Luck: trip to the land of luck with Louane [bande-annonce]

The French singer will double Sam, the least lucky girl in the world, who accidentally discovers a fantastic universe…

On Friday the 13th, the AppleTV+ streaming platform released the trailer for its new animated film: Luck, which tells the story of young Sam. Sam Greenfield is the luckiest person in the world. When she first discovers the Land of Chance, she embarks on an adventure to bring some luck to her best friend. But with humans forbidden in this magical world, his only hope is to team up with creatures that live there.

The trailer right here:

To double the main character in the French version, it is the singer Louane Emera (The Aries Family) that was chosen. Which is not a first for her, because she already lent her voice (with talent) to Belle in the eponymous animated film by Mamoru Hosoda. For the original version of Luckwe find among others Whoopi Goldberg (Sister Act) and Simon Pegg (Ready Player One) in the role of Bob the black cat, animal symbol of fortune telling in Scotland, which serves as our guide throughout the trailer. This mascot shows us how, on the Land of Chance, all the inhabitants are lucky: to cross the road anywhere without being run over, not to fall into the open manholes… Bob finally shows us the different departments of Luck and Bad Luck – which manage our different daily episodes. But when Sam arrives, their whole world will be turned upside down…

Louane is Belle in Mamoru Hosoda’s new film

The film is directed by Peggy Holmeswho notably worked for Disney and the franchise of Tinkerbell. In the script, we find Kiel Murraywho co-wrote Raya and the Last Dragon, Cars and Jonathan Aibelwho participated in the Dreamworks franchise The Trolls.

Luck will be available on the Apple TV+ streaming platform on August 5, 2022.
