Asked on the set of Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show, singer Madonna confirmed or denied certain anecdotes relating to her career. Speaking first of his first success Everybody as well as her future visual autobiography, which the star chose to direct herself so as not to let men tell her story, Madonna also said that she turned down several roles in now-cult films, such as Matrix Where Batman, the challenge.

Indeed, Madonna responds to the rumor that she refused the role of Catwoman in the film. Batman from 1992. Specifying to have seen the film, she says nothing of the regret she could have had towards this role, then given to Michelle Pfeiffer. But concerning Matrix, the story is quite different.
Having refused a role in the cult 1999 film, without specifying which one, the star has since added regret. “This is the best movie ever made!” And even if Jimmy Fallon reassures her, adding that her career has not suffered from her non-participation in the first part of the saga, the singer continues “A very small part of me regrets that time in my life.”
The first movie Matrix, directed by the Wachowski sisters in 1999, brought together the trio Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss on screen.
