This successful film by Hugo Gélin arrives on France 3.
In early 2019, the entire film crew My Unknown was invited to the Alpe d’Huez festival to present their film. We had met them, and we are sharing this interview on the occasion of its broadcast this evening, on France 3.
My Unknown: François Civil still at the top [Critique]
In general, the romantic comedy is an Anglo-Saxon specialty, but we have to believe that at the time of Brexit, this may be about to change. In any case, the last film ofHugo Gelin : My Unknown is well on its way to giving the genre its letters of nobility in France.
At the start, it wasn’t really obvious, since the pitch couldn’t be more classic: a man falls into another dimension where he is forced to win back the woman of his life who doesn’t even know that it exists. Perfect balance of emotions and laughter, the film is a very pleasant little candy to taste: unpretentious but with a mad charm. We had met the team during the Alpe d’Huez 2019 festival (where Francois Civil walked away with the well-deserved Best Actor Award) to talk about it.
