A few days after the first trailer went live, a new international trailer for the new film adapted from Capcom video games has been uploaded by Sony Pictures (see below). A different video, which therefore reveals unpublished images, including a quick glimpse of a huge monster, which we guess to be the historical final big boss of resident Evil, namely the Tyrant. Before that, we find especially Claire Redfield, back in her city and at her brother’s house, while the zombie Apocalypse begins. We also guess in passing that the Umbrella army will also land … to ensure that the secret is kept forever?
The official pitch: “Located in 1998, resident Evil finally unveils the secrets of the Spencer mansion and the city that was once the thriving headquarters of the pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation. Since the departure of the all-powerful company, Raccoon City has sunk to ruin, and a terrible threat lurks deep within its bowels. Resident Evil: Welcome to Racoon City, directed by Johannes Roberts, will be released in cinemas on November 24. In the casting, we will find Kaya Scodelario (The labyrinth) will play Claire Redfield; Avan Jogia (Zombieland 2) will be Leon S. Kennedy. Hannah John-Kamen (Ant-Man and the Wasp) will reprise the role of Jill Valentine opposite Robbie Amell (Upload) as Chris Redfield. Tom Hopper (Black sails) will be Captain Albert Wesker. Neal McDonough (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) will be the virologist and mad scientist William Birkin. Finally, Donald Logue will play Brian Irons, the rogue police chief of Raccoon City.
