No season 4 but a series on Disney Plus for the creator of Deutschland 89

Jörg Winger will create the first German series of the streaming platform.

After Deutschland 83 and Deutschland 86, the trilogy ends tonight in apotheosis, on Canal +. The last episodes of Deutschland 89 will be broadcast on the encrypted channel, putting an end to the saga at the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall. There is no season 4 envisaged.

Especially since the creator, Jörg Winger, has gone under other skies. Those of Disney +, since he is develop for Star a whole new series, on the first black policeman in East Germany. This will be the original German premiere of Disney + Star, filmed in Goethe’s language.

It should be called Sam – A Saxon and tell, in 8 episodes, the true story of the first black policeman in East Germany, Samuel Meffir, who became a media sensation and a symbol of modern society in the 1990s after reunification.

But Meffire’s father was killed in a racist attack and he eventually lost his illusions, finding himself behind bars just a few years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Corn Sam – A Saxon will be a story of redemption, presenting the title hero as a repentant character and putting his experiences to good use. No date for the moment.
