First images and a date for the sequel to On the other side of the Periph.
In 2012, the very chic Parisian cop François Monge teamed up with a colleague from the suburbs, Ousmane Diakité, for an investigation in the vein of the cult “Buddy Cop Movies” of the 1990s. With 2.3 million admissions in France (and $25 million in international revenue), The other side of the ring-roaddirected by David Charhon, was a real minor success.
Ten years later, Netflix pulls the duo out of the closet and sends it Far from the Periph. This time, Louis Leterrier is in charge of the staging. Omar Sy and Laurent Lafitte will team up again and the duo will even turn into a trio, since Izia Higelin joined the team, as seen in these first official images.
“Ten years after teaming up, Ousmane (Omar Sy) and François (Laurent Lafitte), two opposite cops, reluctantly reform their shock tandem. Not really happy to meet again, they set sail for a small town in the Alps to investigate a particularly sordid murder. But, while they think they have solved the case, Ousmane and François discover a much more terrifying reality! From surprises to twists and turns, their escapade far from the ring road would even push them to appreciate each other “teases the official synopsis.
Far from the Periph will be released on May 6 on Netflix.
