Riddler: Year One will be imagined by the actor and drawn by Stevan Subic (MORIARTY).
Paul Dano definitely has many talents. The famous actor Little Miss Sunshine is also a screenwriter and director (of Wildlifereleased in 2018 and co-written with his partner Zoe Kazan), singer of the group Mook, and now DC comics writer. The publisher revealed this weekend that they will be publishing a series of six comics dedicated to The Riddler, imagined by Paul Dano and drawn by Stevan Subic, an illustrator best known for his work on MORIARTY.
The series will be called Riddler: Year Onea nod to Frank Miller’s famous comic strip published in 1987, and it will serve as a prequel to The Batman by Matt Reeves, the currently playing blockbuster in which Dano submits puzzles to Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knights, before battling him. Here is the synopsis released by DC: “This series will explore the origins of Edward Nashton: how this accountant, who was nobody in Gotham City, became Batman’s adversary, resulting in their confrontation in the film.”
