Peacemaker has fun in long, trashy DC series trailer

Three minutes to discover what the solo adventures of the idiot superhero who appeared in The Suicide Squad will look like.

After having made a first remarkable outing in The Suicide Squad, this summer at the cinema, John Cena is recovering under the absurd helmet of Peacemaker, but this time for the small screen. The DC gunman will be entitled to his own series, which will actually be a sequel to the James Gunn film, by James Gunn. And as evidenced by this first trailer, three minutes long, the mind will be just as crazy:

The video shows us that the solo adventures of Peacemaker won’t be that solo. Indeed, he will be associated with a team, that of Amanda Waller: Economos (Steve Agee), Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), Murn (Chukwudi Iwuji), Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) and especially Vigilante (Freddie Stroma), a new hero masked from the comics, will work with him for “kill people … but bad guys“. We also note that Peacemaker will always be so stupid, in every sense of the word … and that he has a serious problem to solve with his odious father (played by Robert Patrick).

The eight-episode first season is slated to launch on HBO Max in January 2022. All episodes were written by James Gunn, who also directed five. No French broadcaster announced for the moment.
