Robert Zemeckis will be at the helm of this new adaptation of the Italian tale, with a five-star cast.
In 1940, Disney studios adapted Carlo Collodi’s Italian tale The adventures of Pinocchio in the soberly titled cartoon Pinocchio, which was very successful when it was released. The film won two Oscars. More than 80 years later, in 2022, the wooden puppet who wanted to be “a real little boy” gets a makeover, in a live action adaptation by Walt Disney Studios. Announced during Disney + Day, anniversary of the VOD platform of the empire with the mouse, this adaptation should be released in autumn 2022.
