stranger things season 4

Netflix’s flagship sci-fi drama comes to an end. The creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, justify their choice and open the door to possible spin-offs…

Strong emotion for fans of Stranger Things yesterday. Netflix has revealed that the two-year-old Season 4 will be split into two parts: Volume 1 on May 27 and Volume 2 on July 1. And then without warning, the streamer announced the end of the series!

It won’t be for right away, but for season 5 (in 2023 or 2024). And the Duffer brothers, creators and screenwriters of Stranger Things, take care of the after-sales service, to explain to the fans their decision. In a long open letter, they justify:

“Seven years ago we planned the full story arc of Stranger Things,” Write creators Matt and Ross Duffer, in an open letter to fans, posted online Thursday. “At the time, we predicted that the story would last four or five seasons. It turned out to be too long to be told in four, but – as you’ll soon see for yourselves – we’re now heading straight for our ending and Season 4 will be the penultimate season. Season 5 will be the last.”

They continue leaving a small door open, for “new stories“… that no one already imagines to be possible spin-offs!”There are still plenty of very exciting stories to be told in the world of Stranger Things : new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes…”

“But first we hope you’ll stick with us to finish the tale of that mighty young girl named Eleven and her brave friends, that broken sheriff and fierce mother, that little town called Hawkins, and that known alternate dimension. as the Upside Down World”.

Yes, the series ends. The Eleven mystery is about to conclude. But the universe Stranger Thingshe could well remain active after season 5…
