Simone: the biopic on Simone Weil postponed by eight months

With an unrecognizable Elsa Zylberstein in the role of the French politician.

Previously dated February 23, 2022, the biopic Simone: The journey of the century is postponed to October by its distributor Warner Bros. Realized by Olivier Dahan, to whom we owe The kid, the feature film will finally be released October 12 at the cinema.

He will tell the story of Simone Weil, Auschwitz survivor and emblematic French politician of the presidency of Valéry Giscard d’Estaing for her involvement in the law decriminalizing voluntary termination of pregnancy (abortion).

She will be embodied there by Elsa Zylberstein, which appears transformed in the first visual of the film, but also by Rebecca Marder of the Comédie-Française. The rest of the cast includes Olivier Gourmet, Elodie Bouchez, Judith Chema and Sylvie Testud.
