Spider-Man Into Generation 2 & 3: “It Didn’t Fit In One Movie!” [exclu]

While waiting for their first streaming series for Apple TV +, Phil Lord and Chris Miller talk to Premiere about the enticing Across The Spider-Verse.

A few days ago, Sony unveiled a first clip and the first images of the inter-dimensional return of Miles Morales. Still overseen by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Spider-Man: Into Generation 2 will ultimately be in two parts. An announcement on which the duo returns today for Première:

“We are working hard on the continuation of New Generation currently. We are going to do it in two parts, which we will develop simultaneously. Because the story is so ambitious and huge. In fact, it didn’t fit in one movie. So we decided to make two separate films “Lord and Miller tell us before specifying:

“So it won’t quite make a trilogy. Each of the two films will be more or less independent, but the two parts will really be a whole, actually.”

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) will be released exclusively in theaters on October 7, 2022. It is not yet clear when Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part Two).

While waiting to see Miles Morales take off on the big screen, Lord and Miller will be back on the little one for The Afterpary, a “murder mystery” comedy developed for Apple TV + and which will be launched on January 28, on the platform.
