Spider-Man: No Way Home dethrones Avatar at the US box office

The latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film has beaten James Cameron’s Na’vis by a few hundred thousand dollars.

That’s it, Avatar is beaten. In the USA, Spider-Man: No Way Home has now grossed $760.9 million. James Cameron’s SF film, released at the end of 2009, ended its career at 760.5 million… No Way Home remains, however, in third position of the biggest cards of all time in the United States – not counting inflation – behind Avengers: Endgame (858 million) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens (936.6 million).

In France, the third Spider-Man of the Marvel Cinematic Universe starring Tom Holland holds the title of the biggest success ever for a superhero film, with 7 million admissions, more thanAvengers: Endgame (6.9 million).

With 7 million admissions, No Way Home becomes the biggest success of a superhero film in France

Waiting to see if Doctor Strange and The Multiverse of Madness (released in May) and its multiverse in madness (as announced by its completely crazy trailer) will break the box office in the same dimensions, James Cameron will return with Avatar 2 in December 2022. Will he be able to beat Spider-Man? The challenge is on.
