“The very rich are not affected by the pandemic”.

Covid or not Covid, that is the question for screenwriters of films and series. On the side of Succession, whose season will launch on October 3 on HBO, creator Jesse Armstrong has ruled: no question of including the virus in the plot. This is what Sarah Snook, the interpreter of Shiv Roy, explained to Vulture : “We are talking about very wealthy people. And sadly, no one of the richest people on the planet was going to be affected by the pandemic.“.

However, recalls Vulture, the virus has indeed affected Succession, since Mark Blum, who played Bill Lockhart, died of the Covid in March 2020, and Alan Ruck and Brian Cox also contracted it. After a two-year hiatus, the HBO series will soon be back on screens (in France on OCS), and the trailer unveiled last July promises a high-profile season 3:
