Director Julien Leclercq explains that his project dedicated to the French Formula 1 champion, overdue for several years, is close to completion.
While his series Robbers has been a hit since Friday on Netflix, the director Julien Leclercq is already actively preparing its return to the big screen. With his sights set on a biopic that he has dreamed of staging for years.
For Première, he confirms that his feature film is closer than ever to seeing the light of day: “I’ve got a big action movie to make before, and then I tackle Alain Prost ! “
A season 2 for Robbers on Netflix? “We have lots of ideas”
He specifies all the same that it is a biopic “complicated“, in particular because it asks to get along with a maximum of interlocutors: “I work with McLaren, with the English teams. We’re going to film on the Magny-Court circuit. Today, it is very complex to set up. It’s a real European co-production. I hope everything will settle down. We do not yet have an exact date of shooting, but there is a period planned“, he concludes.
The film dedicated to Alain Prost could therefore start filming in 2022.
