The Fall of the House of Usher will be based on several works by Edgar Allan Poe.
With The Haunting of Hill House, he made his mark on Netflix. With Midnight Mass, Mike Flanagan hit the nail. The director is now tackling his next project for the streaming platform. On Twitter, he announced the launch of the production of The Fall of the House of Usher.
It will be a limited series, so filming has started in Vancouver. Composed of eight episodes, it is based on several works by the 19th century American author, Edgar Allan Poe, pioneer of the macabre supernatural. The Fall of the House of Usher is described as “an epic tale of greed, a tale of horror and tragedy”.
Flanagan writes, produces and directs. Casting stars Frank Langella as Roderick Usher opposite Mark Hamill, Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell, Carl Lumbly, T’Nia Miller, Willa Fitzgerald, and Robert Longstreet.
