The stars had a blast on the red carpet and then at the standing ovation for the film by Wes Anderson last night.
It was one of the most anticipated films of this edition: that’s it, a year after its original selection, then the cancellation of the 2020 Cannes Film Festival, The French Dispatch was shown on the Croisette! A good part of the team climbed the steps in the company of director Wes Anderson: Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Alexandre Desplat, Mathieu Amalric, Owen Wilson … Even if a few stars were missing. the call (Elizabeth Moss and Léa Seydoux, in particular, the latter being stranded at home in Paris, positive for Covid), this projection has conquered film lovers of the Texan director, and the whole team was obviously delighted to be there. They themselves took pictures on the red carpet and laughed together as they climbed the stairs.
Once the film was over and the lights in the Palais des Festivals hall re-lit, Tilda Swinton was spotted playing a good joke on her colleague Timothée Chalamet:
