The Hand of God: Paolo Sorrentino goes back to his childhood in Naples [teaser]

The film will premiere in Venice before hitting Netflix.

Three years later Silvio and the others, the director of La Grande Bellezza and Youth returns to the cinema with a new introspective feature film titled God’s hand. As indicated by its title referring to footballer Diego Maradona, the film takes place in Naples, his hometown, and is heralded as the most personal project of the Italian filmmaker. Selected in official competition at the Venice Film Festival, God’s hand will be released soon on Netflix, including in France.

Sorrentino reunites with Toni Servillo, his favorite actor, for this new feature film, while the young Filippo Scotti is playing the main role of Fabietto Schisa.
