Tokyo Vice will return with a season 2

A new season ordered by HBO Max for the series directed (in particular) by Michael Mann.

Soon to be broadcast in France by Canal +, the excellent thriller tokyo vice just got renewed by HBO Max.

The police drama which makes us discover the underside of the Japanese capital, according to the real life of the American journalist Jake Adelstein, will be entitled to a season 2.

Worn by Ansel Elgort and Ken Watanabe, the series transports us to the Tokyo of the late 1990s, to a world caught between an ancestral culture and the local mafia.

No date announced yet, but series creator JT Rogers is delighted: “Writing and then directing the first season of tokyo vice with this remarkable group of artists has been an incomparable experience. So I’m glad we can continue. I can’t wait to get back to working in Tokyo with our brilliant cast and crew. Stay tuned: there are twists in the story to come!”

tokyo vice is produced and directed (episode 1) by Michael Mann himself.
