US box office: Sandra Bullock cracks The Batman, 800 million for Spider-Man

As Spider-Man climbs again and Indian SS Rajamouli’s epic RRR takes to the podium.

They did it twice! Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum have combined their strength, with The Secret of the Lost Cityto bring down The Batman, which had been dominating the US box office for three weeks. With 31 million dollars in 4,253 cinemas for its first weekend of exploitation, the adventure comedy which will be released in France on April 19 takes the lead in the ranking.

The Batman earns another $20.5 million in the fourth week, bringing its total to $332 million at the US box office and $672.9 million internationally, giving Matt Reeves’ film a shot at already better than Justice League of 2016.

Note that an Indian film invites itself on the podium. RRR (Rise! Roar! Revolt!) by SS Rajamouli raised $60 million worldwide this weekend, including $9.5 million in North America. It is the second-best opening weekend ever for an Indian title, second only to Baahubali 2already directed by Rajamouli.

At last, Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to collect.
