Venice: Virginie Efira and Chloé Zhao join the jury of Bong Joon-ho

The French actress will be well surrounded.

Cannes, it’s over. But the season of major festivals will resume at the start of the school year with the Venice Film Festival, which will be held from September 1 to 11, 2021. And the jury will have an air of Cannes since it will be chaired by Bong Joon-ho, winner of the Palme d ‘Gold in 2019 with Parasite, especially surrounded by Virginie efira, which presented Benedetta on the Croisette a few days ago, and Chloe Zhao, a director accustomed to Cannes but also to Venice, where she won the Golden Lion last year with Nomadland.

If she has already been a member of the jury of the Dinard Festival, this invitation shows that Virginie Efira’s reputation has taken a step forward at the international level with her role in Paul Verhoeven’s film. The other members of the jury are director and screenwriter Saverio Costanzo, British actress Cynthia Erivo, Canadian artist Sarah Gadon and Romanian director Alexander Nanau.
