The video highlights this artificial intelligence device, which records all the sounds and images in your home. An agoraphobic woman just overhears a violent crime while examining a data stream. In order to help, she is forced to face her fear of leaving her apartment to venture into an unfamiliar environment. A kind of Window on courtyard 2.0 in short.

KIMI is directed by Soderbergh from a screenplay written by David Koepp. Rita Wilson, Byron Bowers, Jaime Camil, Jacob Vargas, Derek DelGaudio, Erika Christensen, Devin Ratray and Andy Daly complete the cast.

KIMI was produced for the HBO Max streaming platform and will be released online on February 10. This is the filmmaker’s third film in a row for the network, after The Great Crossing and No Sudden Move, which had been broadcast in France, both, by Canal +, in 2021.
